A SHORT BIO
Originally from Fanna, Italy, Christian Cassan has established himself as a producer, mixer, musician and songwriter in Brooklyn, NY.
His Williamsburg studio, The Secret Garden, has been the birthplace of a number of critically acclaimed records, and welcomes you immediately with its cozy and inspiring atmosphere and a beautifully curated selection of gear.
A multi-instrumentalist and devotee to the vision of his clients, Christian has produced, performed on, mixed and recorded dozens of records with talents including Roger McGuinn (The Byrds), David Byrne (Talking Heads), Ronnie Spector (The Ronettes), Jonathan Coulton, Aimee Mann, Stew (The Negro Problem, Passing Strange), They Might Be Giants and The New Riders of the Purple Sage.
On Broadway, Christian played drums for “Passing Strange” and can be seen in the Spike Lee movie of the same name, filmed live onstage.
Most recently, Christian has been hard at work producing, mixing, recording and performing on the new Jonathan Coulton record, “Solid State”, touring as a drummer with the Jonathan Coulton band, and contributing music to the Emmy Award winning TV Show “A Crime to Remember.”
